Family Support Home Visiting Coordinator 413-522-2170

The Family Support Program is a strength-based home visiting service providing encouragement, information and referrals to assist families in reaching their goals. This program is supported by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF). If you are involved with DCF and reunification is still your goal, a referral can be made by your DCF social worker to our program.

The Family Life Support Program is open to all families in Franklin County and is funded by the United Way of Franklin County. The program builds families' self-sufficieny through goal setting and wrap-around services. If you would like some support around the many challenges a family faces and you are not involved with DCF. call us to see if this program is the right fit for you. We believe you have the power to make the changes you want to see and we are here to support you in your effort.

Housing and Basic Needs 413-824-5386

Housing assistance for back rent, start-up rental assistance and utility assistance is by appointment only. Appointments can be made by email to housing@heartwingcenter.org.

The Heartwing Center is part of the Interfaith Council of Franklin County (IFC). The Basic Needs Program is open for walk-ins every Wednesday from 10AM - 12:30PM. Press button (103) at the entrance to the Moltenbrey Apartments at 43 Third Street in TF. The program includes:

  • Access to our food pantry
  • Information & referrals to other services
  • FC Diaper Distribution Center
  • Salvation Army Service Unit for the 5 Villages of Montague

Homework Help 413-824-5364

Homework Help provides one-on-one tutoring support and internet access to educational computer programs used by the Gill-Montague school district. Located at 78 Avenue A, Monday-Thursday from 5:45PM - 8:15PM. Parents must stay on site.

Turners Falls Playgroup 413-824-5381

Every Wednesday from 10:30AM - 11:30AM in the Family Center at 78 Avenue A.

Playgroup is a friendly, relaxing place for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Children's early literacy is emphasized through a variety of fun and educational books, activities and music. During unstructed playtime, they interact with others their own age. A healthy snack and juice are served mid-morning.

Women's Center 413-824-5387

The Women’s Center is open Tues-Thurs from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.

This space aims to create a nurturing community by providing support, health resources, and creative art projects, all while fostering a fun atmosphere. The center offers computers for participants to use, with assistance available. Art materials are always accessible, and gently used clothing is provided.
