Housing and Basic Needs
Housing assistance for back rent and start-up rental assistance is by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled through email at housing@mcsmcommunity.org or by calling 413-824-5386.
MCSM is part of the Interfaith Council of Franklin County (IFC). Partner agencies include Community Action, Salvation Army, and Franklin County Regional Housing and Redevelopment Authority. More information about the IFC can be found here. The IFC application can be found here. Applications can take two to three weeks to turn around once they have been submitted.
Please note that MCSM and IFC do not provide housing. Resources for emergency housing can be found here.
The Basic Needs Program is open for walk-ins every Wednesday from 10 AM-12:30 PM. Press the 103 button at the entrance to the Moltenbrey Apartments at 43 Third Street in Turners Falls.
The Basic Needs program includes:
- Monthly nonperishable emergency food bags
- Information & referrals to other services
- Franklin County Diaper Distribution Center
- Salvation Army service unit for the five villages of Montague- Turners Falls, Montague Center, Millers Falls, Lake Pleasant, and Montague City
