Food Drive Success!

The Friends of Hillcrest and the Friends of Sheffield held a food drive to benefit MCSM from November 17th through December 16th, 2016.  Collection containers were placed at Hillcrest Elementary School, Sheffield Elementary School, Montague Public Libraries (Millers & Montague Ctr), Public Safety Building/Montague Police, Scotty's, Food City, Monatgue Ctr Post Office & Montague Mini Mart.  

The final tally of items received was 406 items from Sheffield, 215 items from Hillcrest & 184 items from the surrounding community for a total of 805 items!

Montague Catholic Social Ministries would like to extend a huge thank you to the Friends of Hillcrest, Friends of Sheffield, and to everyone who donated to the food drive for MCSM! Thank you also to Montague Public Libraries, Public Safety Building/Montague Police, Scotty's, Food City, Monatgue Ctr Post Office & Montague Mini Mart for putting collection boxes out.

All of the items donated will benefit the food pantry at MCSM's Basic Needs program. The Emergency Basic Needs Program is open at MCSM on Wednesdays from 9-12 noon for walk-ins and by appointment.
