SCREEN TIME: What’s Right For Your Child?
Saturday, June 13th, 10:00 am - Noon
Many parents don’t realize that “screen time” for children under two is NOT recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Yet young children are spending several hours a day looking at smartphone screens, T.V. and/or computers!! Screen time can become habit forming and cause problems for the developing child. This workshop will help parents understand how to make sure their children are getting the right types of stimulation during the right developmental stages (and avoiding unhealthy stimulation) to enhance their development. The workshop will focus on seven ways to enrich over 90% of a child’s brain no matter what their experience has been.
Location: Hillcrest Elementary School Cafeteria
Space is limited. RESERVE A SPOT by MAY 29th … by calling Hillcrest Elementary School
413-863-9526 or contacting Karen Guillette at karen.guillette@gmrsd.org
The workshop is FREE and Childcare and a light snack will be provided. When you call, please let us know how many children you will be bringing and what ages so we are sure to have adequate child care available.
